When you login as a Rock-Dots Band or Rock-Dots Fan, we may store some information onto your computer. This information will be in the form of a “cookie” file. The cookie file is small and contains login information stored on your hard drive, not the Rock-Dots site. We do not and will never use these cookies to spy on you or otherwise invade your privacy. The cookie files are incapable of invading your hard drive to steal information; they are simply placed there to keep you logged into the site. At any point you wish to delete them, click Log Out or delete the Rock-Dots cookies from your browser's temporary files folder. Remember that if you do delete them or log out, you will need to log back into the site. Cookies MUST be enabled in order to login to your account center, edit your band profile, edit your fan profile, and or make comments on Rock-Dots profiles.
Your Information is Safe
Rock-Dots wants to keep the information you provide on our site safe and secure.
If you are a Band, the sensitive information you provide that is not going to be seen in your Rock-Dots profile (Full name, e-mail address) will never be compromised by us. We will never sell or share your information with third parties. Upon signing up and paying through PayPal, we will only see your first and last name to verify and match up the band you belong to. This sensitive information will also never be given up to anyone and will be kept under lock-and-key. We choose to use PayPal as our payment method for its proven security and ease-of-use; the Rock-Dots website does not process your credit card information and bill you. The information we promise to secure can only be compromised by you in the event you decide to post such private information in your profile. At which point, you are held liable, not Rock-Dots, for any issues that arise due to this publishing of public information.
If you are a Fan, the information you provide that is not going to be seen by default (e-mail address, location, quick info) will never be compromised by us. Rock-Dots will never sell or share your information with third parties. Upon signing up, your nickname is the only visible information when you comment. If you decide to change or add personal and private information through your account center to become public, then we cannot and will not be held liable for what may occur from it. If you do not want it to be seen, then please do not post it.
If we are ever threatned with any legal issue regarding your account from any government agency, in which they request all of your information from us, then we will verify the charge. If we discover the accusation has no merit, then we will deny the request. However, if the accusation is verified and proven, then we will submit all information pertaining to your account to the authority requesting it.
That being said, your privacy is of the utmost importance to us at Rock-Dots and we will never give your information away.
Rock-Dots does NOT process your credit card on our website nor do we see your credit card information other than your name and verification you have paid.
We have chosen PayPal to handle all of our credit card transactions for its proven security, ease of use, and high safety of your sensitive information. Upon filling out and submitting your information, you will be sent to our PayPal Check Out page, which provides an industry-standard of security for transactions online. Once you fill out your information and pay for your subscription, you will be notified of the success. When payment has been received, we will immediately begin work on your Rock-Dot and you will be sent a username and password to login to your account center. At no point in all of this will Rock-Dots ever give out your private information to third parties.
Remember, we use PayPal for its security and proven safety with handling your sensitive information but Rock-Dots will never see it; we only receive confirmation that you’ve paid.
